This week, I wanted to give you a quick overview of my DIY Jeep Gladiator Storage Solution. Lots of the other systems on the market didn't meet my needs. If you have the right tools, you could build a system like this cheaper than a Decked System or Goose Gear system. Both make great products, but my focus was tool storage and ‪@MilwaukeeTool‬ Pack out focused. I don't like climbing in the back of the jeep. Like many overlanders, I've been using Packouts for a couple of years now and they are watertight and the locking system makes them better than my tough system containers.

The Milwaukee floor plates also allow you to use them for other gear because of the tie down points. From folding tables to water bottles, to other gear you may want to transport or take with you on trips or around town. They work great with my new new sliding storage platform. I could even see guys in the trades using a setup like this for their work truck to organize their truck beds. Having a portable fridge freezer like the VL75PROD from ‪@ICECOFREEZER‬ I'm powering of the 2 100AH Weize Lithium Iron Phosphate Batteries with ‪@RenogySolar‬ 50 Amp DC-DC Charge Controller with MPPT and 1000 watt Pure Sine Wave Inverter.

The Build:

For my personal setup, I chose to go with the ‪@ClaytonOffRoad‬ 3.5" Overland Plus Kit. They have a great reputation. James was super helpful when deciding between the HD Springs or the Normal Springs. I'm extremely happy going with the HD springs and know that I'll be able to fully load the Gladiator out in the future with the load carrying capacity to grow! I also went with the ‪@GoRanchoSuspension‬ RS9000XL Shocks.

I've driven the Jeep now for about 5,000 miles, and the Rancho Clayton Combo is really spot on. I'm cruising around city and gravel roads on as little as setting 3 front and rear currently, although you can jump back up to level 4 or 5. The Great thing about the Rancho Shocks is you have 9 different levels to play around with to find the best ride for you at a budget price! I'd love to install a full set of the Rancho RockGear in the future.
