The junction of Cambridge Gardens and St Mark's Road, in the North Kensington district of London, is the scene of one of the Capital's more unusual ghosts.
In the 1930s, residents of Cambridge Gardens were, from time to time, woken in the early hours of the morning by the sound of a bus roaring at great speed along the street. Going to their windows, they would see a brilliantly illuminated bus, careering along the centre of the road, "with neither driver nor passengers."

On June the 11th, 1934, a fatal accident occurred at the spot where the phantom bus was known to appear, and, at the inquest into the driver's death, mention was made of the "Ghost bus."
Journalists began making their way to this leafy London neighbourhood, and soon stories about the "phantom bus of death corner" were appearing in newspapers all over the country.
In this video, you will hear the first hand accounts of the ghost bus's appearances given to reporters in the aftermath of the tragic collision.
