Organised by the Surrey Vintage Scooter Club and co-hosted by the Awfully Pleasant Scooter Association and London Lambretta Club, this ride in 2019 was for classic scooters of a certain vintage only. The criteria was Vespas with 8" wheels and 3-speed engines, and shaft-drive Lambrettas only. Nothing more modern than that. Co-sponsored by ScooterNova magazine Lambretta Club Great Britain and the Veteran Vespa Club, this "Lighthearted and fun run from the city to the coast" attracted almost 100 riders and scooters from around the UK and Belgium.
The route we took was mainly A and B-roads and the variety of scooters dated from the 1948 to around 1958. So sit back, relax and enjoy a scooter ride at a leisurely pace from a time gone by...
