This video marks Day 1 of a long motorcycle journey across India — rolling out of Guwahati and riding towards Kisama, Nagaland, home of the Hornbill Festival.

But before the hills, before the twisties, and before the celebration — this day carried emotion.

It was my first time in Assam after the passing of Zubeen da. A stop at Zubeen Kshetra turned the ride inward, reminding me how deeply music, memory, and place can connect us — even when you’re far from home.

From smooth four-lane highways to village roads, from riding with family for the first time to unexpected road rage, from meeting fellow riders to crossing into the hills of Nagaland — this episode captures the raw beginning of the journey.
