RISEBA University of Applied Sciences Faculty of Architecture and Design is pleased to announce the RIXARCH Conference 2023 / I. International Architectural Design Conference, which will be held at RISEBA University H2O 6 Quarter on March 24-25, 2023.
The conference on architecture and urban development focuses on sustainable and AI-driven future architecture, as well as the preservation of cultural heritage. One speaker discusses the importance of live projects in the design process and how the Riga project exemplifies this concept. Another speaker emphasizes the importance of place in architecture, referring to John Hayduk's architectural masks and the 13 watchtowers of Canareggio. A third speaker discusses the impact of Berlin on his art and the importance of his physical experience of space. In another talk, James P. Williamson highlights the artistic and political relevance of John Haydek's work in the context of contemporary world events. Finally, RIXARCH Conference discusses Lawrence Hedrick's approach to student installations and how they take on their own lives as organisms, permeating generations.
