Описание: Dr CJ Roy, the prominent founder and chairperson of Confident Group, a major real estate and infrastructure developer, died by suicide on Friday at his corporate office in Ashok Nagar, Bengaluru. The incident, confirmed by police who have registered a case of suicide, has sent shockwaves through India’s business and corporate communities, raising significant questions about pressure at the highest echelons (ESHLONS) of corporate life.

The tragedy unfolded amidst ongoing Income Tax raids linked to Dr. Roy. According to initial reports, tax authorities had arrived at his house and office earlier that morning. By afternoon, Dr. Roy was being questioned by officers at his office. Approximately an hour into the questioning, he reportedly excused himself to retrieve documents from another room. Shortly after, a gunshot was heard, and Dr. Roy was discovered to have shot himself. He was immediately transported to Narayana Hospital in HSR Layout, where doctors declared him deceased. The decision to take him to a hospital 10 kilometres away, when several medical facilities were closer, has also become a point of inquiry in the ongoing investigation.
