Описание: This is a short video account of a test performed on what we believe is the world's first all ceramic mechanical pump. The pump was used to pump liquid tin continuously at 1200C for ~ 72 hrs in an all ceramic circulation loop. No mechanical failure occurred, and this serves as a first of its kind technology demonstration that liquid metal can be used at extremely high temperatures, which opens up a variety of new energy and thermochemical applications that have major implications for climate change.
