The lyrics seem depressing, but actually the song is not sad, it is about finding the joy in the little things, about changing your perception if you're in a new chaotic environment. This song ended up being a message to myself - maybe you can't always take the time to enjoy little pleasures like you could in a city where the culture might be a little slower, but you can still enjoy little breaks throughout the day and find your own way of having a good time.
