According to the latest forecast by the Meteorological Department, rainfall activity is expected to increase across several parts of the state between July 16 and July 18. Heavy rain, strong winds, and lightning strikes are predicted, particularly in the districts of North and East Bihar. Meanwhile, light to moderate rainfall is anticipated in most areas of South Bihar. Residents are advised to heed the warnings issued by the Meteorological Department.

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be no significant change in the maximum temperatures across most districts of the state over the next 2 to 3 days; maximum temperatures are expected to range between 30 and 32 degrees Celsius. Similarly, minimum temperatures will remain largely unchanged over the next 5 days, hovering between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius. While rainfall may bring some relief from the heat, high humidity levels could lead to a sultry, uncomfortable feeling.
Regarding the region-wise forecast, rainfall is likely at a few places in North-West Bihar on July 16, whereas only isolated light showers may occur on July 17 and 18. In North-Central and North-East Bihar, rain is expected at several locations on July 16, with the possibility of continued rainfall at a few places on July 17 and 18.
In South-West and South-Central Bihar, only isolated light rainfall is likely over the next three days. Meanwhile, rainfall may occur at a few places in South-East Bihar on July 16 and 17, though activity is expected to become more isolated (limited to one or two places) by July 18.
Specifically for July 16, strong winds (30–40 km/h), thunderstorms, and lightning strikes are predicted for several districts across North-West, North-Central, North-East, and South-East Bihar. A heavy rainfall alert has also been issued for the districts of Araria, Katihar, Kishanganj, and Purnia for that day. Waterlogging and localized disruptions may occur in these districts.
Warnings regarding strong winds and lightning will remain in effect for north-central, north-eastern, and south-eastern Bihar on July 17 as well. Heavy rainfall is predicted for the districts of Araria, Kishanganj, Madhubani, and Supaul on this day.

As for July 18, a spell of rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms is expected to continue across north-western, north-central, north-eastern, and south-eastern Bihar. Heavy rainfall is likely in Araria, Kishanganj, and Supaul on this day.
