Isla Murciélago - Scuba diving Costa Rica Bat Islands with Rocket Frog Divers

Описание: A compilation of footage taken during a two tank dive trip to Isla Murciélago (Bat Islands) in North West Costa Rica.

Shot with GoPro Hero 10 at 4K/60fps and (1) Backscatter Macro Wide 4300 video lights. The underwater footage has minor color correction. I was using a new setting on this trip and I'm not sure I'm happy with it. The colors seem a bit more washed out and I was using a less dense red filter so it was tough to get everything dialed in. It's a constant learning process. I hope one day I'll capture some footage I'm happy with, but for now it is what it is. If anyone has any tips or advice I'd be more than happy to hear all about it in the comments. It's just nice to have a scrap book of some epic times. The speed of certain clips has been slightly altered for dramatic effect.

Rocket Frog is the dive operation we used. They are located in Playa de Coco. We enjoyed diving with them overall. It was comfortable, modern and clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. We wish the dives were a bit longer as the DMs ended the dives at 40 minutes or when the first diver reached 1000psi. The diving at Bats was challenging with quite a bit of chop and current on the surface to contend with. We descended with a negative entry and once we were at depth things mellowed out and we had some nice dives. Unfortunately the resident bull sharks didn't want to come play that morning due to overly warm water temperatures. We missed them but had some other epic encounters that more than made up for their absence.
