In today's video, we discuss running cylinder heads from a 6.1L HEMI on a 5.7L HEMI. I discuss the reasoning behind swapping cylinder heads as well as how, detailing the components needed.
Additional information: I realized that I had forgotten to mention specifics for flow numbers. 6.1L cylinder heads outperform the Pre-Eagle heads significantly, with the 6.1L heads flowing 321 CFM @ .600 lift compared to the 269 CFM seen from the Pre-Eagle heads @ .600 lift on the same exact flow bench. The 6.1L cylinder heads flow almost identically to Eagle cylinder heads.
This video pertains to 2003-2008 5.7L HEMI owners. 2009+ 5.7L HEMI engines have Eagle cylinder heads which flow almost identically.
This includes the Dodge Charger R/T, Dodge Challenger R/T, Dodge Magnum R/T, Dodge Ram, Dodge Durango, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Commander, Chrysler Aspen, and Chrysler 300C
