It’s 2:05 pm, Thursday afternoon, May 30, 2024, aboard the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railway 3 foot narrow gauge Antonito, Colorado to Chama , New Mexico passenger train, as we depart Osier, Colorado, with K36 number 484 as our steam locomotive.
As we depart Osier, aboard parlor car Colorado, we watch the Chama to Antonito passenger train also departing Osier.
We spend time in the parlor car, then the open gondola car and later my coach.
Along the way to Cumbres, Colorado, where this video ends, we go over Cascade trestle, the highest on this railroad, and follow along the Rio de Los Pinos River. As we near Cumbres, we round Tanglefoot curve.
