Описание: Let's step back in time to March 1991 with this incredible throwback to Transportfirmaet Søren & Jens Kværndrup and their first ever flower transport to Spain for Bøg Madsen in Odense. This trip was carried out by my former colleague Erling and my old boss Jens, who documented their journey on VHS.

Originally shared on the Facebook page for former Søren & Jens drivers, where it still can be found, but I felt this gem deserved a bigger audience. I reached out to Erling, who had a chat with Jens, and we all agreed—it’s time to share this fantastic piece of trucking history with you all.

This video was recorded by Jens and Erling in 1991.
It marked the beginning of S&J’s flower transport to Spain.
The trip was for Bøg Madsen in Odense. All S&J trucks had stopped driving for Skaw-Trans, where we also did runs to Spain and France.
After I had been on a trip to Russia (Moscow), I was driving for Søren, hauling empty packaging from Kløver Mejeri in Esbjerg to FI Odense, when the phone rang…
Søren: “Hey Erling, how’s it going?”
Erling: “Going fine.”
Søren: “We got a trip to Spain for Bøg.”
Erling: “That’s flowers!?”
Søren: “Yeah! A full load.”
Erling: “Yeah, but… Søren, I don’t have a tail lift, and are there ramps at the unloading spots?”
Søren: “No, there aren’t – but Bøg has some really nice loading skids – you’ll get those with you.”
Erling: “Søren, for f… those CC trolleys are heavy – are you sure this will work?”
Søren: “They should be fine. Bøg uses them all the time for unloading CC trolleys.”
Erling: “OK, Søren – but then Jens has to come along on the trip, and we’ll see if it works.”
Søren: “OK – I’ll have Jens call you.”
20 minutes later, Jens calls.
Jens: “I got the green light from Bodil – hell yeah, we’re going to Spain, Erling! I’m excited!”
Erling: “OK, Jens – then let’s go.”
The truck was loaded late Friday night, and of course, there was one extra CC trolley that didn’t quite fit – a classic “magic trick” from Søren, who was there with Jens. And sure enough, they made it fit. Departure Saturday morning, heading for Irun.
