Ruby Lynn Reyner was the ultimate torch singer and in this video she performs live at Max's Kansas City in 1979, few of her songs including her hit "Ruby From the Wrong Side of Town", a passionate performance rarely seem in the New York music world.
The show also includes a soulful cover of Lou Reed's song "Rock and Roll", a tribute to Jackie Wilson and an irreverent moment dedicated to Johnny Thunders.
