Tithe-Master Valerius arrived on Sallow's Rest expecting another backward mud-ball of ignorant peasants. What he found was a paradise. The crops were impossibly tall. The fruit was bursting with juice. The villagers were always smiling, despite the clouds of flies that blackened the sky. They spoke of a "Grandfather" who blessed their fields with a special fertilizer.

This recovered audio-log documents the horrific truth behind the planet's bumper harvest, and the price the Imperium pays to feed its wars.
