The pilot project, launched four days ago at Rambagh Circle, uses an AI-powered ‘Smart Vehicle Challan Detection System’ to identify repeat traffic offenders and vehicles with unpaid challans. AI-enabled cameras continuously monitor traffic movement at the intersection and, within 12 seconds of detection, display the registration number of a vehicle with pending challans on a large LED screen installed at the circle.
