Got a Braun Oral-B Toothbrush? - A bathroom upgrade YOU can install!

Описание: If you have an Oral-B or Braun electric toothbrush (excluding iO7 and iO8 series), a couple of challenges exist. Either you infrequently charge it up, or, you have it on charge permanently but there's wires everywhere. I was looking for a solution whereby I needed two 240V shaver sockets, one for the Braun toothbrush and one for the WaterPik Flosser machine. But most dual socket shaver sockets have a 120V and a 240V socket. The 120V shaver socket is redundant and serves no purpose. The socket/pins are smaller so you can't place a 240V shaver plug in the 120V holes.

Some filming in the bathroom whilst replacing the shaver socket. Used a Panasonic S5 with the 20-60mm Lumix lens. All recording at 4K 24fps 16:9. One LED panel light used. Unfortunately, I didn't realise that the camera was on auto-focus so it kept changing focus... and.. there was no way of avoiding getting between the subject matter and the camera.

I used ShareX software to record any Windows/Chrome usage, eg websites, brochures.

For the main camera, I've used a Panasonic S1H, mounted through an iFootage suction mount on the desk plus an articulated arm. I use a Sigma 20mm Art lens (f2.0) at 24fps 4k, set to manual focusing. The aperture set to f2.0 is probably too much with depth-of-focus very tight. To maintain a shallow DOF and an f2.0 means that it needs to be fairly dimly lit and so the ISO/noise goes up. Next on the list is consider some form of ND filter so that I can light the 'stage' appropriately.

I also used the Panasonic S5 with either the Pixapro Orbit600 turntable base or an iFootage Shark Slider Nano slider to video the product. All components secured with blue-tack! One issue was that filming white products against a white platform/background resulted in over exposure. The Orbit600 comes with different bases, so I used the black one, and a black background and kept depth of focus shallow again. Still not perfect and sometimes blown/over-exposed.

Audio is provided by a Rode Lavalier plugged into the S1H. I have a SmallHD monitor mounted on top facing me to help with focusing. Lighting is from one light, being reflected from a large white card. LED light is an Aputure Amaran HR672. Background lighting provided by the AtomCube RGB LED light at the back of the room providing that blue glow.

Script wise... oh my.. I wrote a script.. then mounted it on my laptop to the side of the camera. I thought I did a good job of controlling my eyes flicking left and right... nah.. re-recorded it with the laptop screen directly under the lens. eyes were up and down. Fail. Re-recorded it again and now, all the footage.. had no audio.. the lavalier wasn't securely plugged in. So, the last and fourth time of recording I checked audio each shot, and tried to repeat/memorise the script whilst looking at the lens and not the script. I think it looks good.

The 'installation' was pre-recorded, which I then play back and record video/audio on the top. It's "ok". Severe trimming of a boring install.

Editing as usual in Adobe Premiere Pro. Used the audio/music 'remix' feature to stretch the one track from 3 mins to 8 mins.. It's clever.

The entire video took about a week.. a long time..

Chapters.. geez.. I put all the work in for them, but YouTube says you have to have 1000+ subscribers to enable them. Onwards and upwards..
