DDC Election: Gupkar Alliance is an eyewash

As Jammu and Kashmir goes to poll for the District Development Council (DDC), the first ever election of the Union Territory since the abrogation of Articles 370 & 35A. Jammu and Kashmir’s mainstream political parties including Mehbooba Mufti-led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Farooq and Omar Abdullah’s National Conference (NC) and Sajjad Lone’s People's Conference (PC) are fighting the polls under a unified banner of the People’s Alliance for the Gupkar Declaration (PAGD), also called as Gupkar Alliance. Speaking exclusively to India Narrative, Jammu Muslim Front leader, Shuja Zaffar said the alliance will fail. According to Zaffar, the multi-party alliance are only interested in bringing back the outdated special status to the region and have time and again ignored developing the region.
