This senior fitness yoga class aims to reset your body. If you experience muscle tightness or joint stiffness, a yoga session that focuses on improving mobility and infusing your muscles with blood can help improve your body's function. This class is designed to be performed while standing or sitting in a chair. In this 20-minute session, the focus is on opening up your hips, shoulders, chest, and lower back to allow for more comfortable and enjoyable physical activities. Take your time with each stretching posture and concentrate on your breathing.
Chair yoga is an excellent form of recovery or mobility work, especially for the 55+ community. It helps to lengthen and strengthen muscles using long holds and body weight, nourishing the joints and preparing you for your next workout. This type of class is excellent for active agers who want to continue moving purposefully. It can help your body move through space more freely and perform any activity with confidence. All you need for this class is a chair. If you need water, please have it readily available as well.
