Documentary discussing the history and contemporary goings-on in Newmilns & Greenholm, Ayrshire, Scotland. Produced in 1998 and the second of three documentaries produced about the Irvine Valley towns.
Interesting inclusions in this documentary are film inside the mostly-now-lost industry of Newmilns, including engineering & Newmilns' world-renowned lace mills. The documentary also includes film Loudoun Castle & Loudoun Castle Theme Park, as well as various buildings, shops & factories which are now gone or demolished. There's also a lot of film of Darvel residents involved in various social pursuits at the time.
This documentary was originally produced by Bobby & Margaret Young in 1998 - this copy was taken directly from the original master VHS, so I apologise for the audio & video quality. It may be possible to digitise it from the original master recording tapes, so I will do this in future if possible.
