Kerala fish Pickle recipe is spicy and full of flavour. You can choose any one of the firm flesh fishes like Tuna, Seer fish, Butter fish etc for pickles. You can make tasty pickles with Anchovy fish, sardines or prawns with same procedure.
In this recipe for more colour and less heat I added Kashmiri chilli powder. Added pinch of sugar to balance the taste.
Pickles are known as taste boosters and add flavour to our main meals.
Fish Pickle is simple to make and you can preserve it in refrigerator or Store in dry air tight glass containers for months.
For long term preservation follow these tips.
Do not add water to the pickle at any stage of preparation.
You can use any type of oil to fry the fish but use only gingelly oil to make the pickle.
Fry all the ingredients well in gingelly oil.
Add more vinegar according to your taste.
