LoveHate:Reminiscence – Niamh J. O’Donnell describes her composition

Описание: Hear five brand new works by LPO Young Composers: Zach Reading, Niamh J. O’Donnell, Daniel Soley, Joy Nkoyo, and Jorge Ramos.

Using the idea of memory as a starting point, the composers each created a new work under the mentorship of award-winning LPO Composer-in-Residence, Tania León.

We were delighted to collaborate with the Southbank Centre’s New Poets Collective on this project. Also working with the theme of memory, five of its talented poets created their own new works in tandem with the composers, with all artists inspiring and learning from each other along the way.

The works were performed in our annual Debut Sounds performances at the Southbank Centre's Queen Elizabeth Hall. The pieces were conducted by LPO Fellow Conductor Juya Shin and performed by an ensemble made up of members of the LPO and participants of the LPO's Foyle Future Firsts development programme – a true celebration of rising talent!
