Make the sword Zar'roc from Eragon

This is a tutorial on how to make the sword Zar’roc from Eragon. It is a fun and easy foam board project and you just need one sheet of foamboard. This is also a unique little project in that we try a new technique. The sword has a jewel in the pommel and we cast that jewel with a two part epoxy.
But I didn’t want to make a rubber mold in order to get the jewel. So this is a much simpler way, you just need the epoxy and an egg. Works like a charm! Cast the plastic in the egg, let it harden then peel the shell off. You have a jewel!
If you don’t want to cast the jewel egg I also give you in the template a paper jewel that you can fold up and use in the pommel. And the template for this project along with more instructions is on my website right here. Print up the template and make your sword.
