Crestone, Colorado – a three day adventure to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains

Описание: Crestone, Colorado is one of our favorite small towns to visit. Located about three and a half hours from downtown Denver, Crestone is an easy weekend trip through some beautiful mountain roads. If you’re able to getaway during peak Fall season, you may even be lucky to see some snow in the upper elevations. Crestone welcomed us with perfect Fall weather and beautiful sunny days. Our cute Airbnb (linked below) is almost at the foot of the mountains, is Dark Sky Certified AND has an epic view of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains (not sponsored BTW). It is also located about 5 minutes from town. There was no shortage of epic scenery on this trip! Of course, on our way to Crestone, we stopped for lunch at one of our favorite stops – the Collegiate Peaks Overlook. Although it was a bit windy, we got to enjoy quite a panoramic view before heading to our final destination. Aside from the fact that we crashed the drone, we got some epic aerial footage of the alpenglow on the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

We’re Anna D and Adam, vloggers living in Colorado. After the pandemic shut everything down in March of 2020, we decided to make more time to explore our own state in part for our own mental wellbeing and in part because we’d been living here over 5 years and had barely hiked more than 10 different trails.
