Flying the blimp to P51 Crazy Horse with Lee

Описание: Flying the Skyship SKS-600 airship, then jumping in a P51 Crazy Horse with Lee. We captured the air-to-air after we had completed a football game at Orange Stadium in Orlando. It was pre-arranged that we'd meet up over the Disney Complex on the way back to base at the Kissimmee Airport while we had the big camera on board the airship and do some high-quality air-to-air filming. You can hear the videographer Bob in the background trying to coordinate the shoot with a very fast-moving airplane. There's also a lot of ATC chatter that was a coordinated effort with Orlando Approach. They were great. Usually we hang out over a golf tournament or over a stadium with a fixed target, but this was a little different as the Mustang zipped by many times at a fairly high speed. I wish we had a means of capturing the audio. Notice how Bob was able to pull the camera Zoom lens back as Lee approached head-on to keep the airplane the same size in the frame.
Some time later, the guys at Stallion 51 invited me to go for a 'quick ride' in Crazy Horse. Little did I know that we were going to have as much fun or fly for as long as we did. Lee allowed me to do the landing, and that was certainly the cherry on top of a wonderful experience.
