First part is to defeat a pretty bulky boss. Without warp, the easiest way I found is to use weapons that bypass def/res like Doulam and Stinger. Sibyl has to be beefed up to maximize Doulam damage, as I don't have enough uses. Melanie deploys solely to boost her damage via support bonus.
The second part is much more interesting. Apparently I have to spread my units all over to defeat some goons. Now, these things arent' pushover. They halve your incoming damage, have 99hp and 0 def/res, can one shot you if you're not prepared. Luckily, they only have a fixed range of attack: 1, 2 or 3, which means you can avoid getting attacked if you select the right weapon range or weapons that outright negate counter.
Since action economy is really tight in this final part, we first review how to reliably defeat these things:
1. OHKO them by dealing 200 damage. It's hard to do this without rigging a crit.
2. ORKO them by dealing 100 damage and double them. This sounds absurd, but it's very possible. These things are treated as magic equipped users, so you can use effective weapon to bump your damage. Mage slayer for example can do 60 effective damage. A capped sword user should do 93 damage, so they need 2 Power seals and the Fire Emblem to pull this out. I'll explain later why there are better uses for the seals and the emblem. Another option is via A-rank tomes that apply effective damage against those they have triangle advantage. Again, a capped magic user can do 93 damage, however this time they have exclusive magic boosting items like Plinus and Iscariot. Melanie and Sibyl use Expunge to do exactly this.
3. ORKO them by dealing 50 damage and quad-hit them. Only weapons with brave effect can do this. We have OP stuff like german Master sword that can do this even in 0 growth, which is why I deploy 3 swordies. Vanice is another strong option, since she can enchance every weapon with brave effect. Barbaric Helm's Mt boosting effect and german Master Axe make good combination as well. Devil axe and Myriad's Arrow are decent option, but you need to land at least a crit. Heroic Weapons are solid ones, too. Unfortunately, the sword paladin Fredo is 1 damage short, which is why I said I should've used Crystal on him instead. Heroic Lance users have laughably bad strength as well, and I don't have Heroic Axe. For bows, I have Heroic Bow and Pursuer, but both Beryl and Valysith have low cap, so they need Seals and Fire Emblem to barely do 50 damage.
To deal with these enemies' counter, first you can choose options that prevent getting attacked in the first place. Master weapons, Sweeping weapons are fantastic option. Otherwise you can position yourself wisely. In the worst case, you need a crit blocking item like Fire Emblem or Luck Seal. Fire Emblem halves incoming damage, so survival is more feasible. If not, then go for the classic option, that is to out-stat your enemy, like Melanie chucking those statboosters.
With these options in mind, I experimented a bit and came up with this solution. Firstly, the second phase player's positions are determined by their deployment order, so you can manipulate them with extra steps. Secondly, I deploy those with reliable ORKO capability and spread them equally. Vanice doesn't join the squad because her mov is too low; I need someone who can move more than 6. Due to the nature of my blind run, I needed to use Devil Axe. Anyways, it's not that unreliable, so I'm happy with this.
This is a fun fangame. I look forward to the next update.
