Early on in my career I became a Microsoft Certified Professional - Systems Engineer. By passing 6 Microsoft certification exams I obtained the systems engineer title and that certified title really helped me in advancing in my career.
In this video I explain how I became Microsoft certified and what value I received from that certification.
Disclaimer: I am not longer Microsoft certified at this point in my career, but would consider it again if a specific Microsoft certification would help me to advance in my career. I do pick my certifications strategically and currently I only hold an ITIL Foundation certification.
