In this video essay, I’ll discuss why the Yu-Gi-Oh! Banlist is actually a bait-and-switch Scam. While many believe the Yugioh Ban List is there to balance the TCG, OCG, or Master Duel, the truth is that Konami uses it to push Yu-Gi-Oh! players into constantly spending money. By selectively giving strong new cards to a few Yugioh decks and leaving other decks as rogue at best, Konami creates an imbalance in the meta, forcing Yugioh players to rely on the Yu-Gi-Oh! Banlist for change.
