Rare unreleased tracks recorded circa 1976 by Detroit-based hard rock band MARCUS featuring vocalist MARCUS MALONE. Personnel: Marcus Malone, lead vocals; Gene Bloch aka Gene Black, lead guitar and arrangements; Randall David and Jack Weber, guitars; Dandy Holmes, drums; synthesizer, unknown; bassist unknown, possibly Tim Bogert who played on the Marcus album (UA, 1976). In 1976 Marcus relocated from Detroit to Los Angeles, gigging at the Starwood where they headlined over openers AC/DC on Nov. 29th & 30th, directly preceding a two night stint by VAN HALEN & ZOLAR X on Dec. 1st & 2nd. Unfortunately I wasn't clued-in to Marcus and missed their show with AC/DC, but I did see Van Halen and Zolar X the very night after!
