DIY Electronics guide: NMEA2000 Environmental Sensor - TechE45 - Apres Sail

Описание: In August of 2025, The Skipper of Little 2 Much - Rob, crewed on Apres for Louie's last Regatta and before the race I was showing Art and Rob a new page with some extra weather data, part of this was a 12hr running barometric pressure and the current Pressure. Rob said he would like that sort of info on Little Too Much, so I said I would build him one. I already had all the components I needed and would just need a the cable and case, which I would have 3D printed

We talk about DIY Electronics a lot on my channel but this example shows it is easy to add a sensor to an existing NMEA2000/SeatalkNG system for a small amount of money. In this case it was an environmental sensor but the reality is this could have been anything - tank level, engine functions, battery monitoring - really anything.

SV Après is a 1996 Hunter 336 Captained and Maintained by Jason and usually sailing out of Milwaukee's South Shore Yacht Club in Lake Michigan, one of the US's Great Lakes. The filming is done via GoPro's, DJI Mavic drone and iPhone and spliced together a bit hap hazardly.
