I run this vintage engine for the first time. I purchased it from RCGroups and it was in excellent overall condition for the age of the engine. It looked to be a very low time engine based on what the piston and rear bearing looked like. I initially installed a new Enya #3 glow plug in it for the first run. The engine would not run well at all and I spent about 30 minutes trying to get it tuned properly. I decided to change to a McCoy MC-59 plug and that made all the difference in how the engines runs and responds to throttle transitions. It is a great running engine now.
