Does the Proxmox graphical installer crash on your screen? Or maybe you just prefer the precision of the command line? In this video, I’ll show you how to install Proxmox VE using the Console (Terminal UI) Mode.
While the steps are similar to the GUI version, navigating the interface is completely different. I will teach you the keyboard shortcuts you need to select your hard drives, set up your network, and get your server running without ever needing a mouse.
This method is essential if:
Your graphics card / GPU is not supported by the graphical installer (X11 errors).
You are installing on older hardware or a headless server.
You want to learn how Linux SysAdmins work in a terminal environment.
⌨️ Essential Keyboard Shortcuts:
TAB: Move to the next field/button.
SPACE: Select or Deselect a checkbox.
ENTER: Confirm a selection.
ALT + N: Next Page (in some versions).
