Professor Scott Delp welcomes you to the Stanford Human Performance Lab (HPL), a joint venture between Stanford Bioengineering, Orthopaedic Surgery, and Athletics. Scott gives a tour of the HPL and the equipment used to run the many research studies supported by the HPL whose goals are to optimize human performance. Key equipment includes force plates, various treadmills, a DEXA scanner, and a system to measure the metabolic cost of locomotion.
