Welcome back to Day 35 of my 365-day vlog challenge! Today is Wednesday, February 4th, and it has been one of those heavy workdays where I’m just trying to squeeze in a few minutes of movement between meetings. I managed to sneak away for a quick 20-minute walk around the lake, but the day definitely didn't pan out exactly how I intended.

While I was going through my old notes last night, I found a little reminder that took me all the way back to my early 20s. I was working third shift on a plastics factory line, slinging baby car seats as fast as we could. We worked alongside a man we all lovingly called "Grandpa." Looking at him, I remember thinking there was no way in hell I could do that kind of physical work in my 60s or 70s. I assumed he was nearing retirement, and that visual was the real impetus for my journey toward becoming "job optional."

The crazy part? I found out years later that "Grandpa" was actually in his 50s when he passed away—likely younger than I am right now. It was a sobering realization of how much a hard life can take a toll on the body. That experience over two decades ago planted the seed for everything I'm building now. I want income that isn't dependent on my physical labor.

Tomorrow, I'm determined to get a real workout in at Orange Theory or the gym. Thanks for following along with the iterations of my life!
