This short film poem documents moments from 3 of the late Jim Cravens poems. Jim was a native of Dundalk, Co Louth. During his lifetime he produced a catalogue of work which received critical acclaim.
Since his passing in 1980 two collections of his poetry, Selected Poems and Nice of You Jim, were published in 1983 and 2005 respectively.
He was described by John B. Keane as "a dynamic genius.."
Local filmaker Ultan Hodgers, a long time fan of Cravens work, created this film and submitted it for inclusion in our Culture Night listings for 2021.
