Hi, my name is Upasana Kochhar. I'm a primary care physician at UVA Health. Patients can expect a collaborative approach. I like to take the time to listen to my patients and understand their goals and values. I also think it's important to empower my patients with evidence-based clinical knowledge so that they feel confident about the treatment plan that we come up with together. Communication is very important, especially for me as a primary care physician. Being available to the patients, whether it's through phone calls in the office or through my chart, I believe makes a big difference in their health journey and outcomes. UVA Health gives patients access to state-of-the-art medical research and also specialists who are best in their field. UVA prioritizes patient-centered care and provides compassionate and evidence-based care. I feel lucky that my patients are able to experience that.
