How do adult children of divorce view family?

How does the experience of growing up with divorced parents shape your understanding of belonging, stability, identity and home?
In this video, I’ll look at some of the things that come to mind when adult children of divorce think about the word “family,” and how different that is from those who grew up with intact families.

What you’ve experienced as a child does not doom you to a life of loneliness and broken relationships, but changes don’t happen automatically or without effort.
To grow healthy relationships and maintain a healthy marriage, people who grew up with separated parents have to find role models and examples, work through their pain and loss, and develop skills for communication, conflict, and life together.
