In February of 2023, a train carrying hazardous chemicals derailed near the town of East Palestine, Ohio. The following days saw a large scale evacuation of the area due to hazardous air and water conditions.
Within weeks Filterbuy, along with The Brightside Project and a handful of other organizations, established a donation drive to bring air filters, nonperishables, and essentials to residents slowly returning to their community. The result was an overwhelmingly positive and enlightening experience for everyone involved.
Through goodwill, perseverance, and community outreach, anything is possible.
