Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit 2023 in Lucknow on Friday. The three-day event is expected to be attended by several Union ministers and a host of leading industrialists.
"I welcome all investors to this Summit. Today, Uttar Pradesh is known for good governance, peace, law and order, and stability," the prime minister said.
Uttar Pradesh has received investment proposals to the tune of Rs 21 lakh crore in the run-up to the Global Investors Summit (GIS) being held on February 10-12. The Yogi Adityanath government says bulk of the investment proposals and MoUs, about 56 per cent, have come in the manufacturing sector.
