Описание: Iron Horse Trail is located in North Bend, Washington. Originally known as the Milwaukee Road, the railroad operated until it went bankrupt in 1977. Washington State purchased the land and turned the railroad line into a trail. It's 21 miles long in one direction, with an elevation gain of 1611 feet and a maximum grade of 5%. There is a tunnel at Hyak, the top of Snoqualmie Pass. The tunnel is 2.3 miles long, it's dark and cold. When traveling through the tunnel be sure to have a good, charged flashlight. It's nearly impossible to see without a light. The trail passes adjoining hiking trails, rock climbing areas, creeks, wildflowers, Avalanche Avenue, vantage points and a host of opportunities to stop and simply enjoy the wilderness.
