This hidden gem is almost a secret attraction to many since the location is already on the way to Yemen boarder so not many tourist and expats tend to visit the place.

With almost an hour drive or about 67KM away from the Salalah City Centre, Fizayah truly is worth a visit.
Situated in the west side of Salalah, you will be directed towards Mughsail until you reach the signage of the beach written Fizayan and will need to drive 6KM more on rough bumpy road crossing over its amazingly structured mountains.

It is advisable to drive with a 4X4 vehicles but you can also witness sedans being used specially if it is not Khareef season where muds can be very difficult to passby.
As much as possible, you must go there in group of atleast 2 vehicles for any emergency situation since cell sites may not be accessible or could be very limited signal.

The roads from Mugsail to Fazayah beach are also called Hairpin-like bends.
This is because of the sharp curves of the roads with ascending-descending slopes along the way.

Camels can pass across the roads at any time so need to be alert and cautious at all times.

The drive itself is bumpy, but the beautiful sight of the sea from the mountain would make the ride worthwhile.
The shoreline is a mix of sandy and rocky terrain lined by natural vegetation. Not crowded often, Al Fazayah Beach could be an excellent spot for a group/family outing.
