The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez is located in Mexico City’s Magdalena Mixhuca Sports City and is the venue for the Mexico City Grand Prix in Formula 1. It is named in honor of Mexican racing brothers Ricardo and Pedro Rodríguez, both of whom tragically passed away while pursuing motorsport careers. The circuit sits at an altitude of 2,240 meters (7,350 feet), making it the highest race on the F1 calendar, which significantly impacts engine performance and aerodynamics due to the thin air.

The modern 4.304 km (2.67 mi) layout features 17 turns, including high-speed straights and technical corners. The main straight is one of the longest in F1, allowing cars to hit top speeds of over 370 km/h (230 mph), making DRS zones crucial for overtaking. The Peraltada, a fast, sweeping corner at the end of the lap, has been modified for safety but still retains some of its original thrill.

A standout feature of the track is the Foro Sol stadium section, where the cars pass through a former baseball stadium. This section offers one of the most exciting atmospheres in F1, with tens of thousands of passionate fans surrounding the tight and slow corners, creating an electric vibe.

The high-altitude conditions not only affect engine power output but also make cooling systems less efficient and increase brake and tire wear, challenging teams' setups and strategies. Drivers must also adapt to reduced downforce and lower grip levels, making it a test of both skill and precision. The Mexico GP, reintroduced in 2015, has since become a fan-favorite, offering a mix of technical complexity, speed, and spectacle.
