Ingredients:
2 cups rice flour
1/2 teaspoon sugar
Salt to taste
Water
Grated coconut
Method:
2. Add salt to taste and 1/2 teaspoon sugar, then mix well.
3. Gradually add water while mixing to achieve a crumbly but moist texture.
4. In a puttu maker, start with a layer of grated coconut, followed by a layer of the dampened rice flour, and repeat, ending with a layer of coconut.
5. In a small cooker, boil 2 to 3 glasses of water.
6. Place the puttu maker on top of the cooker where the steam is released and steam cook until steam comes out through the holes of the puttu maker.
7. Remove the steamed puttu and serve hot with banana, sugar, or curry.
