Transportation - Classroom Exchange with Izumi Junior High School in Japan

Описание: On March 3rd, the Newton Sixth Form School worked in collaboration with Izumi Junior High School in Japan to host "The 3rd International Classroom Exchange" project, which is designed to provide students an opportunity to exchange cultural knowledge on the theme "Cultural Dos and Don’ts in Thailand and Japan" through an online class.

Newton and Izumi Junior High School students have presented and exchanged the cultural differences in the new creative ways by creating short videos. The main focus is on the dos and don’ts covering what people generally do and do not do in both countries, including gestures, public transportation, eating habits, school rules, and general manners in temples. They also shared their own experiences and took the Kahoot quiz, which can be used to evaluate how well they understood the subjects being discussed.
This activity was fascinating and exciting for all of Newton students to meet and talk with their friends from other countries. I do strongly believe that this ‘International Classroom Exchange’ will enable the students to learn new things and gain a deeper understanding of the cultures of Japan and Thailand than before.
