Growing up, we were told black soup is healthy, but once Banga extract is added, it becomes heavier than most people realise. In this recipe, I show you how to make black soup without Banga, while still keeping it tasty and satisfying.
Ingredients Used:
• Protein of choice
• Ugu (fluted pumpkin leaves)
• Uziza leaf
• Scent leaf
• Bitterleaf
• Smoked fish
• Yellow & red pepper
• Crayfish
• Seasoning cube
• Salt to taste
Method:
1. Boil your protein until tender.
2. Blend the vegetables with a little water.
3. Add smoked fish, pepper, seasoning cube, and salt to the pot.
4. Stir, sprinkle crayfish, cover, and allow to cook.
5. Add the blended vegetables, stir, and cook for a few minutes.
And that’s it, healthy black soup you can enjoy without guilt.
