I finished designing the Platform CNC for myself a little over a year ago. I built this machine in order to pursue forms and ideas that would otherwise just live in my sketchbook. I also wanted a "platform" for testing other modes of digital fabrication such as plasma cutting and using a knife for cutting cardboard, leather, etc...
Over the last year, I received over whelming interest in providing kits for other people to have the machine for their own personal use. This series of videos attempts to document the entire assembly process for the Platform CNC.
With the machine, I also provide detailed assembly instructions including wiring diagrams and software set-up, but I know that nothing beats moving pictures!
If these videos watch like assembly instructions, it is because they are! I hope that you enjoy seeing things go together as much as I do.
