Story of Anari |
Anari is Mehreen's Debut album and the song itself is her very first recording, audio (1993), vdo (1996) and maiden hit (2000). This very song took the artist into instant stardom after its tv telecast in 1998. The album was made by the Murderer Trio consisting of Fuad Ibn Rabbi, Monirul Alom Tipu and Jahangir Hyder Dipon. Penned by Jahangir Hyder Dipon the trio was looking for a voice to bring out their dream of creating western music in our own language, hence Anari was the first pop album to completely stand on electronic music, sampling etc way back in 1992/3. The album completed in 1998, took two more years to have it released. Anari, the first song of the album, was recorded in the best studio of Dhaka Sruty 2. Then due to the shortage of fund we had to continue at Shumon Bhai"s (Aurthohin) home studio in Dhanmondi. Shumon bhai let us use the place for a meagre fees and the Murderer trio put in their dreams and effort to get the project going. We survived on the 20k monthly wage that i received from my job at CIDA. It was a long and patient endeavour. And now, its amazing to know that it is still appreciated.
