Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, on July 26, 2023, accepted the no-confidence motion against the Narendra Modi-led government. The motion was moved by Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi on behalf of opposition parties of I.N.D.I.A alliance. Opposition is using the no-confidence motion to prompt a response from PM Modi on Manipur violence.
