About Heaven:
Heaven was an influential Australian heavy metal band formed in Sydney in 1980, originally emerging from Adelaide under the name Fat Lip. Fronted by Scottish-born vocalist Allan Fryer, the band gained early recognition after signing with Deluxe Records, led by former AC/DC manager Michael Browning. Renamed Heaven, the group released their debut album Twilight of Mischief (issued in the US as In the Beginning), featuring the iconic single “Fantasy.” Their sound blended AC/DC-style hard rock with a later evolution toward Judas Priest–inspired commercial heavy metal, helping define the 1980s Aussie metal scene.

Throughout the 1980s, Heaven toured extensively across the United States, developing a loyal fanbase—particularly on the US West Coast—and performing alongside legendary bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Mötley Crüe, Black Sabbath, and Kiss. Their second album, Where Angels Fear to Tread (1983), released on RCA Records, included the MTV hit “Rock School” and featured guest appearances from Ronnie James Dio, Lita Ford, and Glenn Hughes, cementing Heaven’s reputation on the global heavy metal stage.

Heaven’s legacy continues today, especially after “Fantasy” was remixed in 2018 by Country Boy (CB), introducing the band to a new generation of rock and hip-hop fans through global streaming platforms. Although Allan Fryer passed away in 2015, Heaven’s influence endures, with ongoing remixes, renewed interest in their catalog, and long-standing rumors of influencing bands like Guns N’ Roses.
