She shares: "In vocal improvisation, as I understand and teach it, every voice finds its place – whether shy, inexperienced, and hindered by negative prejudices of "its owner," or already trained, musically experienced, and free. For the improvisations that arise spontaneously are more than the sum of their individual parts and never originate "through or from" a specific person, but always "somewhere in the midst" of an ensemble. I see it as my responsibility to provide a safe space and to support each participant in my courses individually, according to their level, current focus, and needs, and to guide them on their next steps."
